Speaking as a biologist, I find it highly likely that all gene sequence patents will be retracted in the future. The science behind the claims are ridiculous. It&#039;s about the same as grabbing a cute kid out of an elementary school and &quot;patenting&quot; them. Or patenting oxygen.

DNA, a living moving thing, gets translated into a symbol code, and all logic goes out the window. Humans get really hung up on symbols..... that&#039;s why cognitive sciences are so much fun.
